National Patient Safety Awareness Week 
During the week of March 8-14, 2009, the Center for Patient Safety will be educating and promoting its activities to the general public as well as healthcare providers.  The scheduled events will take place throughout the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as well as Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospital.

Featured News Appearances
In June 2007, NBC 6 News Health Reporter, Diana Gonzalez, inteviewed Dr. Birnbach and featured the Center for Patient Safety's training program during its news broadcast.
